Peter David Conlon

For over 45 years, Peter Conlon has been a mainstay in Atlanta's live music and entertainment industry. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Peter began his professional career working as an aide to Jimmy Carter's successful presidential campaign in 1975 and eventually transitioning to various roles within the Carter Administration. He remained close lifelong personal friends with President Carter until his passing and served as an Executive Producer on the documentary, "Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President."

Peter began his career in music in 1980, co-founding what would turn into one of the nation's most successful production companies with his partner, Alex Cooley. By the time they were purchased by SFX in 1997, Alex Cooley & Peter Conlon Presents was the largest producer of concerts in the Southeast with over 400 shows annually (Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Louisiana). He was instrumental in developing some of Atlanta's most beloved concert venues including the Cotton Club, the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre and the Tabernacle. He also developed annual events such as the legendary Chastain Park Concert Series and the signature Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta's Piedmont Park.

As Chairman of Live Nation Georgia/US Concerts, Peter currently oversees some of the largest, most historic and iconic venues in Georgia including the beloved Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park, Ameris Bank Amphitheatre and Lakewood Amphitheater. With his significant and ongoing contributions to the world of music and the community, Peter was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2009 and has been consecutively named most influential Atlantan by Atlanta Magazine five years running (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024).
